Dear Colleagues,

As you will no doubt be aware Mr Srinivasan has resigned from his position as Programme Director of the M62 supra regional teaching. After 5 years of hard work he is handing over the reins to Mr Sanjib Majumder, Pinderfields Hospital in March 2010.

We are very grateful to Mr Srinivasan and his team for their enthusiasm and energy in putting together and running a very successful teaching programme during this time.

It goes without saying that the success of any training programme depends on the active participation of trainees, consultants and their host units. With this in mind, we would be grateful if you could let us know if you have a particular topic in mind for M62 teaching and what dates would suit your host unit.

We are eager that Trainees continue to play an active role in organising the teaching programme with Chidi Ekwobi kindly agreeing to continue managing the m62club website (www.m62club.org) and Liz George will assist Mr Majumder as a trainee representative and point of contact.

A recent survey of trainees’ opinions supports the continuation of these teaching sessions. We hope to support and develop the supra-regional teaching programme in order to provide a dynamic and evolving educational component of training for the benefit of all trainees. We welcome any suggestions or constructive comments you may have. Please do not hesitate to contact us directly and we will try to address any issues and incorporate suggestions into future sessions.

In order to make communication more effective it would be useful to have an up to date list of trainees and contact emails in your departments.

We hope you continue to find the M62 teachings beneficial and we look forward to seeing you all at the next meeting.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Sanjib Majumder

Programme Director
